“I believe that sometimes you can watch what is happening to someone else, and a switch flips on. There is a moment of connection, of relating your life to the lives of the characters on the screen. That moment of realization where we say to ourselves, ‘that is me…that’s exactly what is going on in my life right now,’ is what the visual arts are all about. I hope that anyone who views our films will have that connection – in terms of understanding their own situation on a deeper level, or by recognizing the many other vulnerable people still struggling in abusive circumstances. There is important work to be done to stop human trafficking and provide life-saving services to victims of trafficking and domestic violence.”

Our purpose is to centralize resources for human-rights advocates around the globe. Advocates serve an important role in the lives of victims―They are friends, family members, colleagues, ministers, mentors, and social workers. When abuse occurs, victims need to know that they have an advocate closer than they think and that they are strong enough to survive and escape.
