Vivian Shaku
Executive Director
I am a domestic violence survivor. I received recognition for still standing strong, presented by the Partnership Against Domestic Violence and Communities United, here in Atlanta, GA in 2011. The organization selected three strong women who came out with a unique domestic violence case and I was honored to be one of them that survived.
Our purpose is to centralize resources for human-rights advocates around the globe. Advocates serve an important role in the lives of victims―They are friends, family members, colleagues, ministers, mentors, and social workers. When abuse occurs, victims need to know that they have an advocate closer than they think and that they are strong enough to survive and escape.
